Section 1. Introduction
Vehtrixa ("we," "our," or the "Service") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be handled when you visit or use the Website.
Vehtrixa does not require or offer registration, memberships, or user accounts, and does not intentionally request directly identifying information such as names, telephone numbers, or residential addresses. However, providers supporting hosting, security, abuse prevention, and analytics—including Google Analytics 4—may process online identifiers such as IP addresses, browser or device information, visited URLs, timestamps, cookies, and similar identifiers as part of operating the Service. The Service does not currently use an advertising network.
If you contact us at admin@vehtrixa.com, we use your email address and message only to respond to that inquiry and to meet necessary security or legal obligations. We do not use that address for advertising or marketing.
Section 2. Google Analytics 4
Vehtrixa uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Website and to improve service performance and user experience. GA4 may process page views, referral paths, browser, device and operating-system information, language, screen information, approximate region, and pseudonymous identifiers or cookies used to distinguish browsers or sessions.
Google may use an IP address at the time of GA4 collection to derive approximate location and may discard the IP address before it is logged as Analytics data, subject to Google's regional processing and configuration. Actual processing depends on Google settings, regional settings, and your consent choices. Vehtrixa does not intentionally send names, email addresses, complaint VINs, or other direct identifiers to GA4.
Section 3. Current ad-free operation
Vehtrixa does not currently use Google AdSense or another advertising network and does not display advertisements on the Website. The current ad-free operation therefore does not include advertising cookies, ad tags, or personalized-ad processing.
If advertising is introduced in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy with the applicable advertising providers, cookie and online-identifier processing, consent, and user choices before enabling it.
Section 4. Consent, choices, and regional privacy rights
Where required by applicable law, we request consent before enabling non-essential analytics or personalized advertising. You may refuse or withdraw consent and may change your choices through the consent controls provided by the Service, your browser, or Google's controls. Withdrawing consent may not disable functions necessary to operate the Service or prevent contextual or non-personalized advertising.
Residents of California and certain other U.S. states may have additional rights concerning cookies, IP addresses, and other online identifiers, which may be treated as personal information under applicable law. Where applicable, you may submit a request to admin@vehtrixa.com for access, deletion, correction, or to opt out of sale or sharing. We may request the relevant URL, cookie or browser identifier, and region to verify and process a request as permitted by law. We will process Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required and technically supported.
For users in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, consent is the legal basis for GA4 and personalized-advertising processing where applicable law requires consent. You may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing. These rights may be limited by the pseudonymous information held by third-party providers, and we will handle requests to the extent reasonably possible. The Service may not change its behavior in response to Do Not Track (DNT) signals.
Section 5. Data sources and data minimization
The Website uses public U.S. vehicle-safety data provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), including Complaints, Recalls, Investigations, Manufacturer Communications, and vehicle metadata. An NHTSA Complaint is a report submitted to NHTSA; it is not a complaint form submitted directly to Vehtrixa.
Vehtrixa primarily processes structured, aggregated, and de-identified data needed for analysis, such as vehicle make, model, year, problem category, dates, counts, and official source references. Complaint descriptions and Manufacturer Communication summaries are discarded before persistence and are not provided through the Website. The Service is designed not to intentionally store or publicly expose complaint VINs, addresses, cities, ZIP codes, dealer names or phone numbers, operator details, email addresses, telephone numbers, or other direct identifying information. Raw source archives and source documents are not re-hosted as public web assets.
Section 6. Retention, security, and third-party links
Operational logs and security records are retained only for as long as reasonably needed for reliability, abuse prevention, debugging, legal review, and aggregate metrics. We delete or de-identify them when they are no longer reasonably needed. When you follow a link to an external website, that third party's privacy policy and terms apply.
Section 7. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly request or collect information from children below the age permitted by applicable law. If we learn that a child has provided information, including through an email inquiry, we will delete it as soon as reasonably practicable. Please contact admin@vehtrixa.com if you believe a child has provided information.
